About the Artist
American painter, born in
Italy. He is a self-made artist. His short enrollment in an Art
Institute in Naples, Italy was disrupted when he moved to the United
States of America. Nevertheless he continued his career as a realist
artist until 1977, while working as an Assistant Scenic designer for the
Theater Shop in Middlesex County College, New Jersey, he was inspired to
paint pure abstract works. His early paintings unknowingly reflected
similarities to the famous artist Jackson Pollock.
His paintings now have evolved to higher level of identity with much
more energy and passion. The constant need to express and to create is
in his soul where the subconscious enables him, through his life
experiences, to find fulfillment and inner peace. His subject may be of
surrealistic, metaphorical or metaphysical elements.
His use of color moves his work through the linear, cylindrical patterns
of his mind's eye and brings each piece to a new perspective reflecting
the constant changes of his ongoing thought processes which comes from
his past, present and his emotions. Surrealistic human shapes evolve
from this change. It is like writing a novel, a poem about his life.
